When I am not planning weddings, you can find me and my sweet husband exploring different neighborhoods in Seattle. We love stumbling upon new things to see and do around town and finishing our day by trying out a new happy hour!

When I have a free weekend:
I am hopping in the car and driving over the mountains to Spokane to visit my family. If I’m not heading easy, Andy and I are probably making a short weekend trip.

Most memorable wedding story:
An October couple of mine had visions of an outdoor ceremony. The weather went back and forth between rain and sun. We made the call at the absolute last minute to have it inside. All the guests surrounded the couple in a tight circle and halfway through the ceremony the thunder rolled in. We made eye contact and my Bride had a look that said it all — “Thank goodness we moved it indoors!”
Favorite Moment on wedding day:
Isn’t everyone’s favorite moment just before the bride walks down the aisle? Her last deep breath before walking towards the love of her life. So many emotions in one moment: happiness, excitement and anxiousness.

One suggestion on how to make wedding planning more memorable and fun:
If planning ever gets stressful I ask my couples, What are you most excited about on your Wedding Day? More times than not this make them forget about the stress and we can get back to talking all the fun they will have on the Day-Of.

Best moment you have ever had working as a wedding planner:
Revealing the small details of the day to the couple and the look on their faces when they see the care I put into making their vision come to life.  More often than not, the couple will say “We couldn’t have done this without you”. It makes all the long hours, countless emails, and stressful days, so worth it!

Dream Location or element you are dying for a couple to ask you to plan:
A CASTLE! My inner princess is dying to plan a modern, romantic wedding with endless greenery and candles.

One piece of advice for every couple you meet:
Delegate. Delegate. Delegate. Don’t try to do everything by yourself. Your friends and family would love to help in anyway – So let them — Even with the smallest tasks!

“I can’t even begin to tell you how amazing Madi was for our wedding planner! The day of I was absolutely amazed! She handled EVERY detail going on. As the bride I never saw or heard of one flaw or mishap. I can’t thank Taylor’d Events enough and especially Madi for all her hard work! It’s because of you I got to enjoy my wedding day to its full extent! If I could give them 10 stars I would!”
